Arabian climate: Many will be surprised to learn that some international movie scenes that garnered millions of views around the world were shot in one of the Arab countries, which is Jordan, until one of the regions of Jordan became one of the favorite shooting locations for directors and producers.
Wadi Rum region, where the place was sometimes converted. It serves as an alternative to Mars and other times as a backdrop for battles between lords or a setting for epic fights against enemies. As you'll see in each of the movies shot in Jordan that I detail below, Wadi Rum has been one of Hollywood's favorite places to film over the past decade. Although rejected by critics, it surpassed its prequels in financial success and was the 37th highest-grossing film at the time of its release.
Wadi Rum, with its beautiful landscapes, was a logical shooting location to represent scenes that went from Syria to Sinai. The film tells the story of an astronaut who is trapped on the surface of Mars after his team assumes his death and is forced to rely on his ingenuity to find a way to point out to the Earth that he is alive. Some of the scenes in the film were shot in the city of Petra, when the Bedouin from Indiana was looking for the Holy Grail, and began his journey to the Moon Valley and the Sacred Temple, and the film won the Oscar and earned revenues of more than $474 million. When I visited Wadi Rum, I saw several of The Martian's filming and production locations; the driver of my 4×4 tour pointed them out.
